The World Economic Forum published what it called “Deep Shift- Technology Tipping Points and Societal Impact” in 2015. In that document, predictions were made as to the likelihood that significant changes would occur within the next ten years; things like 90% of the population using smartphones, the first robotic pharmacist, the first taxes collected via a Government blockchain and the first AI machine on a Corporate Board of Directors. A year later, Klaus Schwab, the founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum published his book, The Fourth Industrial Revolution. In it, he argues that this latest economic revolution is significant: Different in scale, in scope and in complexity. He has predicted that in short, like nothing that has ever been experienced before it. He outlines key technologies driving this revolution and discusses the major impacts expected on businesses, government, civil society and on individuals.
Colloquially, these changes are referred to as “Disruption”. And the credit industry has already experienced some of it.
How has the credit industry harnessed changes that have already occurred? How will it deal with future changes? How has digitization impacted staffing? Can affected employees be re-purposed? How can we protect our data and ourselves? How can stakeholders collaborate better and connect with one another in a meaningful way?
Please join us on June 13th, 2019 at the Marriott Bloor | Yorkville hotel to hear industry leaders speak on these issues and more. Bring your questions. Connect with your clients and with your colleagues.
The day promises to be both educational and practical. Following the formal conference, there will be an opportunity to give back, to have some fun and do some more networking: A Charity Casino theme will dominate the night benefiting Autism Sings, so plan to stay a while.
